Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary
The Birley Academy, part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development, helping every child to reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in the classroom, both individually and in small groups
- Assisting teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons
- Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Promoting independence, confidence, and resilience in pupils
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, where required
- Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative tasks
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for working with children
- Is patient, caring, and committed to inclusion
- Has good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative
