What skills and experience we're looking for

Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant would be expected to provide in-class support to students with a range of special educational needs, experience of working with students on the autistic spectrum would be advantageous.

The busy, productive and highly effective ILS department is at the heart of the life of the school; effecting responsive classroom practice and delivering specialist provision across four areas to ensure that all of our students can thrive. As a result Varndean is very popular with families of children with SEND and there will be extensive opportunities for the successful candidate to develop professionally and contribute to the school’s aim to provide a world-class education for all of its students.
