Teaching Assistant LINC job summary
Fortismere School is looking to appoint a LINC Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join our large and diverse SEND department. The successful candidate will support the leadership and implementation of our strategy and provision to support students with special and additional needs to overcome barriers to learning. The postholder will need to have a calm, friendly and determined attitude, with a professional manner working with some of our most vulnerable students.
The LINC Department sits within the wider setting of a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. Fortismere is dedicated to providing an inclusive education. The successful candidate will have the ability to:
Use their own initiative and be adaptable
Be tenacious in case work and be prepared to challenge when needed
Work closely with student with additional and special educational needs
Work with parents, staff, external agencies and students in an appropriate manner
Work flexibly adapting to changes in work priorities as needed

The post is 36 hours per week (8am start), Monday to Friday, 40 weeks per annum
