Working pattern

Part time: Working hours will be Monday – Friday 8.30-3.15pm, including one hour working as a MDSA and half an hour unpaid lunch break. The Teaching Assistant role will be 26.25 hours per week, paid on a Grade 5 points 11-14 if qualified (£28,142-£29,540 per annum pro rata, actual estimated salary £16,694-£17,529) and the MDSA role will be 5 hours per week on a Grade 2 point 4 (£25,185 per annum pro rata, actual estimated salary £2,846)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to play a key role in supporting Class Teachers in the teaching and welfare of pupils.

The role also includes lunchtime supervision as an MDSA.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who: -

  • Is excellent in their communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is able to motivate and encourage the children.
  • Positively promotes inclusion and has high expectations and aspirations for all children.
  • Is self-aware, reflective and keen to improve their practice with high aspirations both for themselves, the

children and the school.

  • Has experience working with children in KS2.
