What skills and experience we're looking for

Join Our Team at Madron Daniel Church of England Primary School!

Are you passionate about supporting children to thrive and grow? Madron Daniel School is looking for a caring and motivated full time Teaching Assistant to support children in our Key Stage 2 class.

Madron Daniel School is a small, nurturing primary school at the heart of the local community. With two mixed-age classes, each with fewer than 20 pupils, we offer a highly personalised approach where every child is known, valued and supported. Our extensive school grounds include a wonderful Forest School environment, providing rich opportunities for outdoor learning and exploration. We are federated with St Mary’s Church of England Primary School in Penzance, working closely together as one extended family serving the pupils across both schools. This role is particularly well suited to someone with experience in mixed-age settings and small-group learning support, who is eager to make a meaningful difference in a close-knit school community.

About the Role

  • Support the learning and development of individual pupils and small groups.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Assist with preparing resources, organising activities and maintaining classroom displays.
  • Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing, providing feedback to teaching staff and the SENCO.
  • Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes and educational visits.
  • Occasionally supervise whole classes to keep pupils safe and on task.

We’re Looking For Someone Who…

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
  • Holds or is working towards NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Patient, friendly, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children.

• Can work well as part of a team
