This is a fantastic reflection of just how far the school has come in recent years and recognisesall the work done by our staff. It is also testament to the hard work, maturity and energy of our students, and the support of our parent community. We are a small school but with a big heart. Since joining the Maiden Erlegh Trust in 2018 the school has seen a marked change in its fortunes and is now known for its calm classrooms, strong focus on behaviour and well-developed teaching and learning.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistant to provide support to students and teachers in a classroom environment. Day to day responsibilities will be varied but will include:

  • Providing day to day classroom support to students, and assisting with pupil behaviour
  • Committing to raising the aspirations and achievement of all our pupils
  • Establishing good relationships and acting as a role model
  • Encouraging students to engage in activities led by the teacher
  • Helping to plan lessons by preparing materials and resources

Our ideal candidates will:

  • Have the ability to recognise and manage challenging behaviour
  • Work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
  • Understand that punctuality is imperative
  • Be a hard worker
  • Want to and be part of a really supportive Inclusion team

The successful applicant will be energetic and enthusiastic and enjoy working with 11-16-year olds. You will enjoy nurturing young people to grow in confidence and flourish personally. You will share our inclusive values of “opportunity, diversity and success for all”

The Trust reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date.

Maiden Erlegh Trust is an Ethical Leadership Pathfinder organisation and we are committed to safeguarding, equality and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
