We believe that children fulfil their potential most successfully when they feel valued and they are aware of their responsibilities and our expectations. High standards of work, behaviour and dress are therefore required at all times and are an important part of our caring and inclusive approach.
Our curriculum and teaching styles are constantly reviewed so that we provide a balanced and relevant education that will prepare our children for their secondary education and life in the twenty-first century. Children need the space and opportunity to develop their enquiring minds, challenge themselves and reach their potential. We believe we offer this at Hursthead Junior School. We give the children a sense of enjoyment in learning. We want the acquisition of knowledge, skills and understanding to be a source of pleasure and satisfaction, which will stay with them as they become lifelong learners.
