23.75 Hours per week (8.45am-3pm Monday to Friday)

Are you calm, confident and have the skills to support classroom activities safely? Are you able to create a positive learning environment? Can you support the smooth running of the Midday Meals? We are an award winning academy who are now recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join us on a permanent basis.
The role of Teaching Assistant is crucial in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils; including but not exclusively, those with special education needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing support to the Teacher in the planning, delivery and and the evaluation of learning activities
Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies
Work 1-2-1 as required to support students access learning within the classroom environment
Motivating and encouraging students by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks
We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:
Experience of establishing positive relationships with students empathise with their needs
Knowledge of SEN
Maths and English GCSE Grade A- C or equivalent
Confident in supervising children during activities indoors and outdoors
Patient, calm and relaxed with an enthusiastic approach to learning
