What skills and experience we're looking for

Norbreck Primary Academy is seeking to appoint two committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team.

We have two vacancies:

  • One in Key Stage 2
  • One in Reception (Early Years)

Applicants should state their preference or indicate if they wish to be considered for both roles.

The successful candidates will support high-quality teaching and learning, working closely with class teachers to ensure all pupils are engaged, supported and able to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom
  • Work with individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs (SEND)
  • Promote pupils’ social, emotional and mental health development
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policy
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with staff, parents and carers
  • Support the use of ICT to enhance pupils’ learning

    The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
