Teaching Assistant job summary

Nythe Primary School is looking to appoint 2 outstanding KS2 teaching assistants who are resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated. We would like someone with a tolerant and compassionate nature, a sense of humour and the ability to work both on their own and as part of our supportive team.

This role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 3.15pm, Term Time plus one week 39 weeks per year

Our ideal candidate would be:

  • An outstanding KS2 teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Fully committed to inclusion.
  • Friendly, positive, flexible and energetic. Someone with high expectations.
  • A team player.
  • Able to complete observations and assessments, and support with record keeping.
  • Able to run interventions with instruction from the class teacher
  • Good numeracy/literacy skills to GCSE grade 4 level or above.
