The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher. The Academy has a Higher Needs Base, providing additional support for students with moderate learning difficulties and/ or those on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD). This teaching assistant role is an opportunity to work directly with these students and therefore a passion for supporting students who experience barriers to learning is essential. You will work in close collaboration with our Inclusion Team to deliver a curriculum that truly supports students.
