Teaching Assistant

At Over Hall Community School, we are proud of our nurturing ethos and high expectations, where every child is valued, included, and supported to succeed.

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed, and compassionate Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis until August 2027 (with the potential to become permanent). This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to play an active role in our vibrant school community.

The Role

In this key position, you will provide high-quality support across the school, including:

  • Delivering English and Maths interventions across the primary phase

  • Promoting high standards of achievement

  • Supporting the creation of a positive and engaging learning environment

You will work flexibly across all year groups, from EYFS to Year 6, supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an enthusiastic team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude

  • Has high expectations for all children and is committed to their success

  • Is flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support across all classes and subjects

    Working Hours

  • 32.5 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

  • 39 weeks per year (including INSET days)

You will work closely with class teachers, fellow teaching assistants, and support staff as part of a collaborative team.
