As Teaching Assistant (Primary) at Bridge Farm School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.” We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
As Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences for pupils.
Promoting child independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
Assisting children with personal care tasks including toileting, feeding, and mobility support.
Helping maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
Using effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
Supporting children individually, in groups or as a class to access the curriculum.
Preparing the classroom for lessons and assisting with learning materials.
Using ICT skills to advance child learning.
Supervising children during lessons, lunchtimes, and school trips.
Collaborating with staff, parents, and professionals to support pupil development.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant who:
Qualifications:
Good standard of education (5 x GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above) or equivalent experience.
For nursery roles: Minimum Level 2 early years education and childcare qualification.
Experience:
Ability to provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity.
Experience supporting children in the classroom and working collaboratively with staff.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to support children with additional needs and personal care requirements.
Good IT skills and ability to use technology to support learning.
