Teaching Assistant (part-time) job summary

Monkston Primary School is looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and positive thinking KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. The role will focus on work with individuals and groups in KS1 under the direction and supervision of the class teacher. The role will include supporting a pupil 1:1 and will also include 1:1 and small group phonics interventions every afternoon.

What we’re looking for:

A highly effective Teaching Assistant who understands how to build motivating relationships with children, helping them to make rapid progress.

A Teaching Assistant who has experience of planning and delivering phonics in Reception or KS1, ideally using the Read Write Inc scheme.

A Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting pupils with SEND.
