Teaching Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking and caring teaching assistant to join our school team to support children with special educational needs and disabilities and whole class teaching assistant work.

The successful candidate will:
- - Have a good knowledge and understanding of SEND, in particular ASD, and knowledge of how best to support these pupils.
- Be passionate about ensuring that all children can learn to read.
- Be adaptable and able to work under pressure.
- Be open to support and advice.
- Have high expectations of what all pupils can achieve, no matter their starting point.
- Be approachable, kind, compassionate and act in accordance with the Catholic ethos and values of the school (we welcome applications from both Catholic and non-Catholic candidates).
Job description and main responsibilities:
- Working with children with SEND and with other professionals in this to support the teaching and learning of the children.
- Working with staff across the school to ensure that the children are able to access learning with their peers.
- Deliver appropriate interventions and specified programmes, under the direction of the teacher, in line with the children’s needs and listed provisions.
- Liaising with parent/carers of children as appropriate.
- Support with the preparation of resources for children with SEND.
- Undertake any reasonable duties outlined by the Headteacher in line with the role.
