Teaching Assistants job summary

Werrington Primary School is looking to recruit Teaching Assistants. These working hours are term time only on a fixed term contract up to 31/08/2025.

The successful candidate will work with groups or 1:1 with children with learning and or behavioural needs within either Key Stage. We can offer a hardworking and welcoming team of staff and pupils.

We are a happy, successful, two form entry Primary School located in Werrington village to the North of Peterborough. A member of the Soke Education Trust - a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) which includes a number of other local primary schools. The candidate must:

• Be able to work in any year group from Foundation to Year 6.
• Be able to undertake any TA level 2 role, including working 1:1 supporting children with learning and behavioural difficulties, potential intimate care needs and group work.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Commitment to working with children at all academic levels within a class
• Experience of working with children in a school setting
• Experience of working with children in groups
• High expectations
• Will be keen to make an impact on children’s learning
