About the Role
We are looking for someone to join our Inclusion Team as a Teaching Assistant - SEMH at our large Infant and Nursery school. Hamstel Infant School and Nursery prides itself on being a child focused, caring, inclusive community; one in which all stakeholders views are valued. The main scope of the job will be:
- Working closely with and under the direction of our school SENDCo, SEND teacher and the school’s Inclusion Support Lead
- Support in classrooms to meet children’s SEND or SEMH needs and supporting teachers and other staff with appropriate strategies.
- Supporting pupils to be included in the classroom and limiting time out of class.
The role requires the holder to be passionate and have experience with inclusion and hands-on practice of supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
