Teaching Assistant (SEN) Level 1 job summary

Contract Details

22 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, initially fixed until 31 July 2025 but with the possibility of a contract extension to cover the next academic year (dependent on funding)

As such, we are seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant who can inspire, motivate and support our children on a 1:1 basis in Key Stage 2.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who:

• Has a good knowledge of a range of SEND needs and ways to support these
• Is confident, resilient, and dedicated, and has a positive attitude
• Has previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
• Has good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
• Has good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
• Has the ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
• Has a personal commitment to on-going professional development.
