What skills and experience we're looking for
Teaching Assistant- SEN Support
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Our mission is to ‘inspire learners and change lives’ – and that includes our staff. We want to empower our teams so pupils are ready to be kind, confident and impactful world citizens. To help us, we wish to appoint an experienced and high calibre Teaching Assistant to work with our SEND students.
We are looking to appoint someone with the following skills:
- Has an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Primary Education
- Is an excellent team player
- Has a calm, patient personality, who is highly organised and flexible
- Someone who has the ability to engage and motivate pupils and can creatively differentiate learning for pupils with SENs where necessary
- Someone who has previous experience of working with children with ASD and is familiar with the use of PECS and delivery of ‘Attention Autism’, ‘TACPAC’ and ‘Intensive Interaction’.
- An enthusiastic, highly committed and flexible individual with excellent interpersonal skills and patience
- Someone who is committed to working as a member of a team, and also shows initiative to work independently
