Teaching Assistant (SEN) job summary
Little Gonerby C of E Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Applicants should have or be working towards the Level 3 diploma in specialist support for teaching & learning in schools. If you are someone who believes that all pupils regardless of their personal circumstances can excel and you have the ability to engage, enthuse and inspire our young people, then this job is for you!
The post is part time, band G3.6 to G3:9 - £19107 - £20027 actual per annum (32.5 hours per week). The post is for the duration of the children’s time at Little Gonerby CE Primary Academy.
We are looking for someone who can provide the love, care and support our children need, as well as carrying out interventions to support with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is essential; however, training and ongoing support will be provided for the successful candidate.
Working hours - 32.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 8.30am-3.30pm, including 30 minutes for lunch (term time only plus 5 INSET days)
The successful applicant will have:
An understanding of EHCPs.
The knowledge of how to support pupils with additional needs.
Excellent communication skills.
Be able to work as part of team as well as using your initiative.
Be willing to adapt and be flexible to changing circumstances.
