JOB TITLE: Teaching Assistant SEND Level 3
GRADE/SALARY: Grade F: Salary: £25,989 to £26,824 (Full Time Equivalent)
(£21,049 to £21,725 pro rata)
HOURS: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
(term time plus 5 inset days)
Hours of Work: Mon: 8.40am-4.30pm
Tue: 8.40am-3.50pm
Wed: 8.40am-4.30pm
Thu: 8.40am-4.30pm
Fri: 8.40am-3.30pm
Daventry Hill School is a specialist school which caters for the needs of over 200 pupils from the ages of 4 to 18. Our fantastic pupils have a wide range of needs including PMLD, SLD, MLD and complex learning difficulties; with additional needs such as ASD and SLCN. The school is part of Creating Tomorrow Trust which is a growing Trust supporting schools who believe that children can achieve irrespective of their learning needs.
The school has undertaken a significant transitional phase, recognised by Ofsted, and benefits from a committed Leadership Team with a very clear and strong vision for school improvement. The school achieved great success in previous years by winning the SEND School of the Year, Headteacher of the Year and overall School of the Year at the Northamptonshire Education Awards.
We are looking to recruit skilled and motivated individuals to join our team.
Duties will include:
Supporting pupils in the learning environment.
In the absence of a Class Teacher, teaching the class and associated Teaching Assistants Level 2’s (including being timetabled as Class Lead for a proportion of the week, where required).
Providing personal and welfare care.
Classroom administrative support.
