Gawsworth Primary School
Gawsworth Primary School is a small, close-knit village school where we place a strong emphasis on knowing every child as an individual. We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (Grade 4) to join our team from September 2026. This is a part-time, term-time only role, supporting pupils with additional needs within a Key Stage 1 cohort.
The Role
This is a hands-on role requiring the successful candidate to:
Support pupils with additional needs to access learning activities
Work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted support
Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Provide both one-to-one and small group support
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
Is calm, patient and able to build positive relationships with pupils
Can work effectively as part of a team
Is proactive and able to respond to the changing needs of pupils
Relevant experience in education, childcare or care settings would be welcomed. A full induction and ongoing training will be provided.
