Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint a motivated, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to be part of our St George’s family. We are looking for a practitioner who will support our vision and our distinctively Christian ethos and who also respects and celebrates those of different faiths. We are seeking an outstanding practitioner with experience who can lead by example to inspire, challenge and nurture our children, enabling them to grow and flourish and achieve their full potential.

The chosen candidate will be welcomed into a happy, inclusive and supportive team at St George’s and will join the team in developing practice to continue to drive standards across the school, through a shared understanding of our Christian vision and shared desire to ensure our children thrive. The chosen candidates will demonstrate a passion to identify and overcome barriers to learning and support others through high expectation and aspiration.

- Is patient and can be calm and flexible in their approach

-Understands that all children are unique and can demonstrate this through their interactions

- Enjoys play and can show creativity and imagination

-Has excellent interpersonal skills

-Can use initiative and has the ability to adapt

-Can work as part of a team

-Has experience delivering phonics.

-Has experience of working with children with additional needs, including communication and interaction needs.
