Teaching Assistant job summary
Applicants should possess relevant teaching assistant qualifications or equivalent, a high level of basic skills and be able to work as part of a team. They should also be prepared to support children within the classroom and work with groups or individual children with additional needs from a range of classes as required.
Applicants should be:
Be highly motivated, forward thinking and committed to high quality curriculum provision in a caring Christian ethos.
Have a high standard of spoken and written English.
Be able to demonstrate sensitivity whilst working with others and have good interpersonal skills.
Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom.
We require a Teaching Assistant who:
Is an experienced, outstanding classroom practitioner.
Has experience delivering high quality phonics interventions.
Has excellent relations with children of all ages and can deal with situations in a calm and professional manner.
Has an excellent knowledge of the curriculum across all key stages.
Works effectively as part of a class, key stage and whole school team.
Can contribute to the wider school community.
