Ref No. Vacancy 5 GTA part time Terrington General Teaching Assistant- part time temporary (initially for one year) Working hours: Monday- Friday 11am-3.30pm Term time only You will support pupils learning and teachers in the preparation of activities, lessons and the learning environment. You will also be required to supervise children / organise play activities during our lunchtime period. We are looking for someone who: Has experience working in a primary school environment with at least an appropriate level 2 qualification or willingness to complete Can work effectively as part of a team Is resilient to the challenges of working in a small rural school Can communicate effectively Can promote children’s well-being Has good subject knowledge and the ability to use a wide range of strategies to motivate and challenge individuals and small groups Has the ability to engage positively with parents and the community and be able to promote the Christian beliefs and ethos of our Church of England school Is reflective and aspirational We can offer: A happy, friendly, caring school Highly engaged and motivated learners Supportive parents and governors A wide range of development opportunities through our federation, learning partnership and teaching schools alliance Closing date for application is Friday, 1st July at 12 noon and interviews will take place the following week Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
