What skills and experience we're looking for

The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust is seeking to appoint an inspirational, dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our experienced team, to work in Fenland.

Experience of working with children with additional needs is essential. The role will be to support a child in reception with an EHCP, to help develop their speech & language difficulties and social interaction and communication difficulties. The right candidate will be working closely with this child 1:1, with the support of the SENDcO and class teacher.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience who will bring enthusiasm and a commitment to children's learning to our happy and friendly school. The right candidate will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly motivated, calm and patient, and have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as use their own initiative. Desirable knowledge and skills include:

  • Attention Autism Experience
  • Makaton

A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and expectations, including phonics.
