We care deeply about each and every child and look for the very best in our team to cultivate a lifelong love of learning. Our school is an inclusive team that never gives up on a child - no matter how complex or challenging that can be.
Leadership provides the impetus, support and challenge to help everyone become better than they thought they could ever be. Our sense of purpose and determination to build innovative, inspiring and highly effective practices across all levels of the organisation are an overwhelming driver and permeate everything that we do.
Wherever you are in your career we may have a position for you. We appreciate that whilst experience is important, will and determination to have a great impact on children’s learning is just as vital. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of creative, innovative minds who have the highest expectations for the children in their care.
The role -

This is an exciting opportunity for you to receive training to develop your skills further through the Betsy De Thierry Certificate in Therapeutic Mentoring (12 month course). In this role you will have the opportunity to make a difference to the educational experiences of our children. Supporting them to develop their resilience and personal skills to be successful learners in our school. Please see course information in supporting documents.
Pegasus Primary is situated on the outskirts of Oxford City, within Blackbird Leys. We are looking for that individual who wants to be a part of transforming education in Blackbird Leys, Oxford.
About you -
If you have a passion and experience of working with children that have emotional and social needs in both the classroom and/or in a mentoring capacity then we want to hear from you!
United Learning -
Pegasus Primary School is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.
Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.
As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
