What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a compassionate individual who is dedicated to helping pupils with SEND thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively. To provide support to pupils in their learning, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to engage in educational activities and achieve their full potential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has some previous experience of working with children with special needs (this is not essential).
  • Is enthusiastic, resourceful and understanding when working with children.
  • Has a positive outlook and is a good team worker.
  • Is able to deliver support programmes in small groups or 1:1 situations, as well as provide support within a whole class situation.
  • To support the class teacher/tutor in order to ensure the delivery of a high-quality education for all students
  • To provide relevant and appropriate support to students, on an individual or group basis, in order to enable them to access the curriculum as independently as possible
