What skills and experience we're looking for
The Board of Directors of The Rainbow Multi Academy Trust are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support pupils learning at Trevithick Learning Academy
In this role you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, the role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, both in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities include helping pupils access learning in ways that suit them, encouraging positive relationships, and ensuring every child feels included, supported and valued. The role also includes supporting small group work, assisting with classroom activities, and helping with daily routines and educational visits.
As the successful candidate you will be patient, positive and genuinely enjoy working with children, with strong communication and organisational skills. Experience of working with young people is important along with a clear commitment to safeguarding. Previous experience in a school or SEN setting and a qualification such as an NVQ Level 2 or 3 are desirable, but just as important is a willingness to learn and be part of a team. In return, the school offers a welcoming environment, supportive colleagues, and opportunities for professional development, with the chance to be part of work that has a real and lasting impact on children’s lives.
Trevithick Learning Academy is part of The Rainbow Multi Academy Trust where our schools work in partnership to fulfil our belief that together, we can build a brighter future for our children. We are looking for a new member of staff to embrace and support our schools in creating an environment where the children have the opportunity to be the best they can be. The Trust is committed to fully supporting our staff through a range of CPD opportunities.
