Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for a caring and motivated Level 3, Band B Teaching Assistant to join our internal specialist provision (The Hub). You will support children with EHCPs, including those awaiting places in specialist schools. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in supporting children with communication and learning difficulties and a commitment to inclusive education. They will bring their proven skills in adapting learning, delivering targeted interventions and implementing strategies that promote engagement and progress. Having a genuine curiosity about how children play, interact and communicate is essential, along with the ability to use these insights to support their development.

The role requires excellent communication, strong teamwork and the confidence to work closely with The Hub team, external professionals and families to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

The ideal candidate will be resilient, proactive and reflective in their own practice, with the ability to remain calm and solution-focused in a range of situations. Working with our children can be both challenging and demanding but it is also incredibly rewarding as you see the difference your support can make every day. Candidates will need to have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.

This is term time working only plus inset days. The hours will be 27.5 hours per week.
