Teaching Assistant working 1 to 1 with a Y1 child with an EHCP job summary

A unique opportunity has arisen to support a child to flourish within our caring school environment. The successful candidate will have high expectations, a commitment to raising standards of attainment and experience of supporting children with complex needs. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals with good communication and organisational skills and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our pupils and their communities. Wood End Primary School is part Community Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools in community Hubs, through applying a holistic view of education.

MAIN PURPOSE:

• Be responsible for the learning and achievement of the pupil in your care
• Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
• Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to your professional position
• Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, SENDCO, class teacher, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of the pupil

• Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
