What skills and experience we're looking for
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, creative, committed teaching assistant with high expectations of achievement, attainment and behaviour to work in our friendly school. The position will be a temporary role until August 2024. Working with a variety of children, one to one and also in small groups. Skills and experience to include:
Good numeracy/literacy skills
Working with or caring for children of relevant age
An ability to respect sensitive and confidential work
Safeguarding and child protection training
Commitment to own personal development and learning
Willing to carry out all duties having regard to an employee’s responsibility under the Council’s Health and Safety Policies
To display a responsible and co-operative attitude to working towards the achievement of the service area aims and objectives
NVQ in education
Work constructively as part of a team
understanding classroom roles and
responsibilities and your own position
within these
Experience in the use of the Microsoft package
Completion of DfES Teacher Assistant Induction Programme.
