What skills and experience we're looking for

The ideal candidate:

  • Grade 5/C or above in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Practical experience of working with children and young people
  • Is able to form good relationships with children and work in partnerships with parents, colleagues and other professionals
  • Is able to provide focused one-to-one support
  • Is an excellent communicator and can work well in a team
  • Willingness to undertake training e.g. first aid training

ü An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues

We have exciting and rewarding opportunities working as part of our Teaching Assistant team at Trumpington Park Primary School - we currently have posts available for general and one-to-one Teaching Assistants. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team working in the classroom, leading small group interventions or as one-to-one support with children who have EHCPs in place. These are varied and fulfilling roles where you will be making a difference to a child’s learning and their progress. Part of your duties will also include some preparation of teaching resources/classroom displays and will also include midday supervision during the children’s lunchbreak.
