What skills and experience we're looking for
Come and join our team as we launch Beeches Primary School following the amalgamation of the infant and junior schools!
Required for September 2026, we are looking for five Level 3Teaching Assistants. Four of the roles will include supporting teachers in whole class settings as well as planning and leading work with small groups of children and individuals. The successful candidates are likely to be based in a particular year group or phase initially, across Reception, Key Stage1 or Key Stage 2. We are looking for candidates with strong English and maths subject knowledge. The fifth role will be based primarily in our enhanced provision, working alongside a teacher with a small group of approximately six children who face various additional challenges in their learning. Please indicate in your application whether you wish to be considered for the year group-based role, the enhanced provision role or both. Please note that all our teaching assistants are required to assist children with personal care, including intimate care where required. This is likely to be a particular feature of the role in the enhanced provision.
The successful candidates will work under the supervision of the Assistant Headteacher and various teachers. The successful candidate will be expected to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
We are looking for a candidate who is kind, caring, patient and compassionate and will support the school’s positive ethos.
A willingness to carry out first aid duties (with full training given) will be welcomed.
