Swaffham Church of England Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team who is driven to make a positive difference to children’s lives.
We are looking for someone who is adaptive, consistent and patient, who understands how to support pupils with a range of communication and language needs, cognition and learning difficulties as well as social, emotional and mental health needs. We are supporting our SEND pupils’ educational pathway to include the bridge between bespoke provision and the mainstream classroom, independent skills, getting them prepared for their next step, building confidence and developing social interaction opportunities, particularly at lunch time. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of this to work across our ESP and our mainstream classes.
The pupil(s) that you will be working with experience a range of needs including:
- Cognition and learning
- Speech and language
- ASD, ADHD and/or global development delay
- Personal care
- Experiences of trauma

In this role you would be working as part of a team to ensure that high needs children have the provision, patience, understanding and support they need to access an adaptive curriculum and thrive within our setting.
Working Hours
The successful candidate will work Monday to Thursday, 08:45 – 15:15, and Friday 09:00 – 12:00.
