What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a dedicated, empathetic, and suitably experienced individual to join our SEND team at Myton School to work on a one-to-one basis with an identified Year 8 student, you will support the student’s educational and social development across all curriculum subject areas. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to the achievement of a young person.

Working at Myton School you will also assist in the educational, social and emotional development of students under the direction and guidance of the Assistant Head & SENCo and class teachers by planning, delivering and assessing individual/small group work with students in the classroom or in The Learning, Intervention and Nurture Centre (The LINC). The LINC enables students to access a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum and to be fully included in all aspects of school life and will support the school’s vision of ‘no child left behind.’

We are ideally looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated applicants with experience of working with young people in a school environment or a specialist setting, who are passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding and varied role where you will need a positive and flexible approach to work.
