- see what school life is like for a teacher inside and outside of the classroom, discovering the power of teaching to transform students’ lives
- become part of a learning supervisor team at Finham Park
- observe experienced teachers (1hr per fortnight)
- have responsibility for covering lessons across the school, providing you with experience of numerous age ranges and subjects
- receive training in behaviour management and pedagogy
- meet with current trainees on the PGCE course
- use educational resources via our free professional development library
- attend professional development events throughout the year to match your own areas of interest and personal development
- receive one-to-one guidance from the Lion Alliance about your teaching application
- have a guaranteed interview with the Lion Alliance for a place on our School Led PGCE with Warwick University (provided all course conditions met)

Finham Park is a popular and successful 11 -18 comprehensive school situated in the south-west of Coventry. It has an excellent reputation within the local community as well as nationally and internationally with our staff are both dedicated and highly qualified. The school was accredited as a World Class School in 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2021.
Ofsted described the school as a place where there is a strong culture of learning and a proven track record of academic success, with students consistently making above average national levels of progress in their studies in both Key Stages 4 and 5. The behaviour of the students is Outstanding.
