  • see what school life is like for a teacher inside and outside of the classroom, discovering the power of teaching to transform students’ lives
  • become part of a learning supervisor team at Finham Park
  • observe experienced teachers (1hr per fortnight)
  • have responsibility for covering lessons across the school, providing you with experience of numerous age ranges and subjects
  • receive training in behaviour management and pedagogy
  • meet with current trainees on the PGCE course
  • use educational resources via our free professional development library
  • attend professional development events throughout the year to match your own areas of interest and personal development
  • receive one-to-one guidance from the Lion Alliance about your teaching application
  • have a guaranteed interview with the Lion Alliance for a place on our School Led PGCE with Warwick University (provided all course conditions met)

Finham Park is a popular and successful 11 -18 comprehensive school situated in the south-west of Coventry. It has an excellent reputation within the local community as well as nationally and internationally with our staff are both dedicated and highly qualified.
