Teaching and Learning Support Assistant - Penn Fields Special School

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support and deliver learning under the guidance of teaching staff and senior leaders.
  • Work closely with teachers in the classroom to ensure SEN students have full access to learning.
  • Lead 1:1 intervention sessions where appropriate and provide tailored support across all key stages.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive relationships with students.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and relational management.
  • Follow a trauma-informed approach to nurture student wellbeing and progress.
  • Take a trauma-aware, relational approach to all interactions and communication with colleagues and the school community
  • Support therapeutic swimming
