About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teaching SENDCO who will be responsible for the provision of special educational needs within the school, working closely with students, parents/carers, school staff and outside agencies to identify, assess and plan the needs of students with SEND. Additionally you will be expected teach across all year groups and share our commitment to raising standards, expectations and instilling a passion for learning for all.


Main Responsibilities

  • To teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve pupil attainment, modelling outstanding practice;
  • To ensure high standards of teaching and learning in order to continue the drive to raise standards of attainment and ensure all students make excellent progress;
  • To ensure high standards of student behaviour, in line with the school policy and procedures.

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and ambitious practitioner to support in the development of the school and make a significant impact to the lives of our students at Thrybergh Academy.As SENDCO you will lead, manage, develop and maintain high quality SEND provision which enables quality teaching, excellent learning outcomes and success for all pupils.You should have high aspirations and a commitment to further development. Ideally, you willhave already achieved the National Award for SENCO (NASENCO), however we will support candidates who are working towards this award.
