What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a dynamic, emotionally intelligent and innovative teacher to join a supportive team that is committed to improving the knowledge, skills, health and wellbeing of all the students at Belvedere. The PE Department is currently made up of three members of staff and is a strong and committed department. We have a sportshall, a gym, and a dance studio as well as an outside netball court and access to a beautiful park where there is a large playing field and six tennis courts. Our curriculum is dynamic and we aim to provide opportunities for all students to feel like they belong, finding and nurturing talent, as well as teaching transferable life skills. We offer traditional sports like netball, football, cross country, cricket, badminton and rounders as well as boccia, new age curling, dodgeball and other emerging sports. The successful candidate will have a passion for sport and it would be an advantage if they could offer a game activity as a specialism, holding relevant coaching and officiating qualifications in this. The ability to teach dance may also be an advantage.

We offer examination PE at both KS4 and KS5 and currently deliver the AQA GCSE and BTEC Sport Level 3; experience teaching examination subjects is highly desirable.
