Technical Systems Specialist - Multi Sites job summary
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and developing Trust-wide IT infrastructure, including firewalls, servers, switching and Wi-Fi (Aruba Central).
- Overseeing key systems such as Intune, Defender, Lightspeed, Bromcom, Sophos Central, Power BI, and VOIP.
- Monitoring and improving HaloITSM helpdesk KPIs, ensuring timely and high-quality support.
- Leading school onboarding and system migration projects, ensuring smooth integration into Trust systems.
- Working towards improving our Microsoft Secure Score and maintaining Cyber Essentials compliance.
- Collaborating with school and central leaders to enhance systems and digital processes across the Trust.
- Providing first-line support cover during periods of absence, leave, or increased demand.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and systems within an education or SME setting.
- Strong technical knowledge across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune (essential).
- Experience with onboarding new schools and system migrations.
- Proven ability to manage helpdesk systems and meet performance KPIs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Secure Score and Cyber Essentials standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
- A hands-on, solution-focused approach and the ability to lead IT projects independently.
