Technical Systems Specialist - Multi Sites job summary

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and developing Trust-wide IT infrastructure, including firewalls, servers, switching and Wi-Fi (Aruba Central).
  • Overseeing key systems such as Intune, Defender, Lightspeed, Bromcom, Sophos Central, Power BI, and VOIP.
  • Monitoring and improving HaloITSM helpdesk KPIs, ensuring timely and high-quality support.
  • Leading school onboarding and system migration projects, ensuring smooth integration into Trust systems.
  • Working towards improving our Microsoft Secure Score and maintaining Cyber Essentials compliance.
  • Collaborating with school and central leaders to enhance systems and digital processes across the Trust.
  • Providing first-line support cover during periods of absence, leave, or increased demand.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and systems within an education or SME setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune (essential).
  • Experience with onboarding new schools and system migrations.
  • Proven ability to manage helpdesk systems and meet performance KPIs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Secure Score and Cyber Essentials standards.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
  • A hands-on, solution-focused approach and the ability to lead IT projects independently.
