Build your career in technology. Make a difference in education.
We're looking for a Technology Support Officer (TSO) to join our central Technology team, based at Lift Aylward and supporting schools across North London.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn, grow and build a longer-term career with Lift Schools. We'll support your development, invest in your training and help you build confidence in education technology. In return, we're looking for someone curious, people-focused and committed to staying and growing with us.
If you want to develop, belong to a supportive team and make a real difference in schools, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
This is a hands-on, people-facing role where you'll work closely with colleagues and students to ensure technology genuinely supports teaching, learning and day-to-day school life.
You'll be based primarily at Lift Aylward, with frequent travel to nearby schools including Lift Noel Park, Lift Trinity and, from March 2026, Lift Beacon High - a new school joining the trust, which makes this an especially exciting time to join.
A viable daily commute is important. We're ideally looking for someone who lives within around 20-30 minutes of Lift Aylward.
You'll be part of a close-knit North London Technology team of up to five people, including a Team Leader, IT technician, Junior IT Technician and IT Apprentice - supported by a wider central Technology network across the trust.
What you'll be doing
* Providing frontline IT support to colleagues and students, helping them use technology confidently and effectively
* Supporting the setup, rollout and refresh of devices such as laptops, Chromebooks, iPads and classroom technology
* Troubleshooting issues and working closely with the wider Technology team to resolve them
* Supporting staff induction and training, sharing clear guidance and practical support
* Helping maintain reliable, secure systems across multiple school sites
* Contributing to projects that improve how technology is used across our schools
This role could be a great fit if you:
* Enjoy working with people and explaining technical issues clearly and calmly
* Are curious, keen to learn and motivated to develop your skills
* Are a team player who enjoys sharing ideas and learning from others
* Have experience in an IT support, technician or service-desk style role
* Have experience inducting or training colleagues in IT or systems
* Have some exposure to education or EdTech
Formal qualifications and experience in a school or education setting are helpful but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, potential and commitment to learning.
Development and progression
We know retention matters. That's why we invest in our people.
In this role, you'll benefit from a clear development pathway, including opportunities to work towards industry-recognised certifications such as Google, ViewSonic, and Canva. You'll be supported by a strong local team and a wider network of like-minded colleagues who share best practice, support one another and learn together.
We offer
* Comprehensive training: Access a wide range of developmental training to boost your career.
* Generous benefits: From your pension plan to healthcare and financial support, we've got you covered.
* Lifestyle perks: Enjoy discounted gym memberships, travel deals, and even electric vehicle incentives.
