Technology Teacher job summary
Pleckgate High School seek to appoint a Technology Teacher to join the school in September 2025. We are an outstanding school that offers an exceptional teaching and learning environment for pupils and staff. The Technology Department is very well resourced and led and offers exceptional professional development for staff. What does this job do?
● To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
● To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
● To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
● To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
● To share and support the Academy’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
What are the job requirements?
● Qualified to degree level in a Technology based subject or adequate post degree conversion course.
● Qualified teacher status.
● Ability to deliver high-quality lessons in Technology to pupils of all ages and abilities.
● Experience of teaching Technology throughout the Key Stages and securing good outcomes.
● Knowledge of requirements of the Technology Curriculum and developments and initiatives relating to the subject and its implications for pupils.
