Actual Salary Range: £21,445.00 to £22,129.00 (dependent on experience)

Redborne Upper School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Technology Technician to join our D&T department. In this role, you won’t just be managing tools - you’ll be a vital part of the team that helps students turn concepts into reality.
About the Role
As a Technology Technician you will:
Prepare materials, equipment, and machinery for daily practical lessons.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment in line with health and safety standards.
Support teachers during busy practical sessions, providing an extra pair of eyes and hands.
Manage department stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
Is a practical individual with experience in a workshop or technical environment (school experience is a bonus, but not essential!).
Has knowledge of health and safety practices, or a willingness to learn.
Has a patient, approachable manner and a genuine desire to support young people.

Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 4.00pm
Friday: 8.30am - 3.30pm

Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4. ‘A’ Level results are also very good with over half at ‘A*’, ‘A’ or ‘B’ grades and an overall pass rate of 99.9%. About 80% of the Sixth Form go on to university and each year a number of students get into Oxbridge. The school is well regarded, oversubscribed and situated in a very pleasant area of Central Bedfordshire, within easy reach of London. The campus includes a state-of-the-art 400 seat theatre and Sixth Form social area. In the next few years the school is likely to expand to 1,700 with 500+ in the sixth form. Redborne is also a National College Support School, a Leading Edge School and has Teaching School Status.
