Catering Assistant job summary

We are looking to recruit 2 Catering Assistants to work at our 2 secondary schools in Didcot. The positions are to start as soon as possible to join its existing and well-respected teams, in the following positions: -

Catering Assistant – Permanent position - Didcot Girls' School

12noon to 2pm (10 hours per week) based at Didcot Girls' School

This job is term time only (38 weeks per year), Monday to Friday on grade 2, spinal column point 2 (£22,366 pro rata, approximately £5,068 per annum)

You will be required to work flexible across the 4 catering outlets at the school and perform a variety of duties as specified in the job description attached.

Catering Assistant - Permanent position - Didcot Girls' and St Birinus School

11am to 2pm (15 hours per week) based at either Didcot Girls' School or St Birinus School depending on daily staffing requirements.

This job is term time only (38 weeks per year), Monday to Friday on grade 2, spinal column point 2 (£22,366 pro rata, approximately £7,602 per annum)

For this position, you will be required to work flexibly within the team and be available to work at either school, dependant on the daily staffing requirements of the individual catering teams.

For both position, we are looking for applicants who are happy to work under pressure and who adopt a customer friendly approach.

These results place us as one of the highest performing schools in the county. Didcot Girls’ School is also in the top 3% of state schools in the country based on National Performance Tables data.
