Hours: 32.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday, Term time only

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dedicated and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Oaklands Primary School. Applicants should have at least NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
The Oaklands Primary School is a 2-form entry Primary school in Acock’s Green Birmingham. Our Ofsted report (March 2025) has identified many positives within our school including the school being “highly ambitious for all pupils to learn, experience, achieve and flourish”. The school provides an “exceptional education experience for all”, with an “aspirational curriculum” which is “meticulously planned and sequenced” and has “high expectations embedded across the curriculum”.
The successful applicant will be working with Year 2 pupils, who have additional needs. The role will also include working with small groups of pupils and carrying out all class Teaching Assistant duties. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with children with SEND needs, from a primary setting. You will also have excellent communication skills with children, parents and professionals and a sound knowledge and understanding of effective teaching and learning.
