About this Role

Kirkby Stephen Grammar School is part of Cumbria Education Trust. We are seeking an outstanding, creative and inspirational Teacher of Art to join our team from January 2026. For the right candidate, we may be able to negotiate an earlier start date during the Autumn Term. Applicants are encouraged to note on their application their desired start date.

Hours of work: 0.4 FTE based on a two-week timetable.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join our growing team. The candidate should be an excellent classroom practitioner, reflective in their teaching practice and focused on getting the best from every student across all key stages of the secondary curriculum.

  • Ensure high standards of teaching across the curriculum and have a commitment to challenging learners to achieve well

  • Be enthusiastic about current research on thinking skills and building learning power.
