Job summary

This role will be a flexible working hours contracted, commencing at approx. 0.82fte with a possible view to increasing in the Spring term 2020.

We would like to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher of Technology. We are looking for an effective and enthusiastic classroom teachers who will be able to complement our existing team of dedicated practitioners. The ability to teach a range of technology disciplines at KS3, KS4 and KS5 would be a strong advantage.

The successful candidate should have excellent subject knowledge, with a creativity and passion about sharing that knowledge with our pupils. You will be committed to attaining the highest standards and expecting excellence from our young people. The successful candidate must be an excellent classroom practitioner and be willing to contribute to the development of the department, as well as being keen to share good practice. Essential educational requirements

Honours degree in the subject area
High Standard of literacy and numeracy

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

Excellent classroom practitioner
Appropriate successful and relevant teaching experience (PGCE or previous posts)
Ability to teach across the range of age and abilities
Experience of target setting and monitoring progress against targets
Ability to analyse data effectively to continually drive standards and pupil outcomes
Evidence of continuing professional development to improve classroom performance
Understanding of the importance technology and e-learning can play in enhancing teaching and learning in the subject area
Understanding of the importance of assessment for learning in raising achievement
Understanding of the current developments in teaching and learning
