Temporary Teacher of English (full-time)
To plan, develop and deliver high-quality lessons, to assess pupils' work and monitor their progress, providing formative feedback and to maintain and build upon Teacher Standards contributing to the safeguarding and welfare of the pupils.
Essential educational requirements
Degree in English or related subject
Qualified Teacher Status
Recent participation in relevant INSET
Essential skills and experience
Successful experience of teaching in a UK secondary school.
Ability to teach at least one of English Literature, English Language or Film Studies to 'A' Level.
Ability to teach English and English Literature to GCSE.
Ability to teach Drama at Key Star 3 to GCSE.
Competence in a range of ICT applications.
Evidence of high quality classroom practice.
This position will be remunerated according to the Main Teachers' Pay Spine M1 - M6.
