Gateway Primary Free School is part of the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership of one secondary academy and four primary academies located within Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary in the borough of Thurrock, to the east of London. We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic, committed and creative classroom-based Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work within our Early Years provision. Successful candidates will be required to work flexibly taking direction from the class teachers and Early Years Lead in adapting and planning activities to take students' learning forward. Key responsibilities relate to supporting the holistic development of our youngest pupils through small group provision and targeted intervention. Our students' needs are at the core of our ethos and successful candidates will be required to support the emotional and social development of the young people they work with.
Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and will have the following:
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is essential;
good standard of education; Maths and English GCSE grades A - C, or equivalent;
can provide excellent classroom support in literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs;
good organisation and inter-personal skills;
good knowledge of ICT;
be committed to high achievement from students and themselves.
